Pure Digital

Pure Digital Technologies was an American consumer electronics company and the creator of the Flip Video series of compact pocket camcorders, founded in San Francisco in 2006. The company pioneered the ultra-portable, tapeless digital video camera market with its simple one-button recording design, achieving mainstream success across retail channels. Cisco Systems acquired Pure Digital Technologies in March 2009 for approximately $590 million in stock. Cisco shut down the Flip product line on April 12, 2011, ending the company's operations.
