Provably (operating as SourceryKit) builds runtime verification infrastructure for AI agent tool calling. Its open-source Python SDK enables agents to create cryptographically verifiable proofs that tool calls — API queries, database reads, MCP server interactions — returned authentic, unmodified data from the intended source. This lets downstream agents and systems verify data provenance in milliseconds without re-querying source systems, catching hallucinations and wrong-source errors before they propagate through agentic workflows. The company originally focused on zero-knowledge verifiable databases (QEDB), a novel approach to SQL query verification without SNARK circuits, and partnered with Midnight Network (a Cardano privacy sidechain) on ZK proof system integration. SourceryKit extends this research into practical developer tooling targeting production agentic systems where data integrity errors have high-stakes consequences such as customer service, financial operations, and compliance workflows.
