Proteins.1

Proteins.1 is a Finnish deep-tech diagnostics company spun out of VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, developing a patented, physics-based, enzyme-free single-molecule protein amplification platform. The technology uses a magnetic cycling mechanism to repeatedly read a single captured protein molecule, enabling detection up to 1,000 times more sensitive than current gold-standard immunoassays and supporting high-multiplex measurement of biomarkers from minimal blood samples. Proteins.1 is initially targeting research-use oncology, neurology, and immunology applications before progressing toward regulated clinical diagnostics, and launched publicly in April 2026 with EUR 4.7 million in pre-seed funding led by Lifeline Ventures and Cloudberry VC.
