Prospectral

Prospectral is a University of Cambridge spinout founded by four alumni researchers in optical physics and semiconductor engineering, building next generation spectral imaging cameras that let machines see the chemical composition of materials in real time. Its approach uses metasurface-mediated sensing to put hyperspectral capability onto a chip, producing ultra-compact, dramatically lower-cost multimodal imaging sensors for computer vision. Target applications span recycling and materials sorting, agriculture, mining and targeted extraction, medtech and mobility, where identifying what something is made of has previously required bulky and expensive laboratory-grade instruments.
