Prophet Exchange (operating as ProphetX) is the first CFTC-regulated, federally licensed peer-to-peer sports prediction exchange in the United States. Users trade event contracts with other market participants across major sports leagues — MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, tennis, soccer, and more — by setting their own prices or matching existing ones, 24/7 nationwide. Unlike traditional sportsbooks, ProphetX does not take the other side of trades; it acts solely as an exchange intermediary, with participant funds held in segregated accounts. The platform launched in New Jersey in 2022 and has since expanded to cover millions of markets across 11+ sports.
