ProDa BioTech is a pharmaceutical R&D company spun out of Georgia State University, focused on developing novel cancer therapies. The company's lead drug candidate, ProAgio, targets the integrin αVβ3 cell surface receptor expressed on cancer-associated fibroblasts and tumor angiogenic vessels, simultaneously eliminating the stromal barrier that protects pancreatic and other hard-to-treat tumors. ProAgio has demonstrated efficacy against pancreatic cancer and triple-negative breast cancer in preclinical studies, and the company has received multiple SBIR/STTR awards from NIH's National Cancer Institute to advance it toward clinical development.
