Primary Bioscience is an early-stage startup building a single-molecule protein sequencing instrument that uses surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) and AI to read individual protein molecules end-to-end, enabling unbiased sequencing of every protein in a sample. The platform is designed to detect hard-to-identify variations including single residue substitutions, splice variants, and post-translational truncations without pre-labeling or amplification. The company emerged from the University of Washingtons CoMotion Labs and is developing a comprehensive proteomics platform for research and clinical applications.
