Predictive Biosciences

Predictive Biosciences was a Lexington, Massachusetts-based molecular diagnostics company focused on developing highly accurate, noninvasive urine-based tests for bladder cancer detection and monitoring. The company developed a suite of molecular diagnostic cancer assays, including next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based tests that analyze FGFR3 mutations for bladder cancer detection. Functioning as a fully integrated developer of novel molecular diagnostic cancer assays, Predictive Biosciences partnered with national laboratory networks including ARUP Laboratories. The company raised approximately $56.75 million across multiple funding rounds but ceased operations in 2013 following a CMS contractor decision to deny coverage for its bladder cancer diagnostics products.
