Potion Design

Potion Design Studio was a Brooklyn-based interactive design firm founded in 2005 by MIT alums Phillip R. Tiongson and Jared Schiffman. Known for groundbreaking work in digital storytelling, inclusive design, and interactive environments, Potion built immersive experiences for leading cultural institutions including the Met, the Smithsonian, and the National Constitution Center, as well as enterprise clients such as Nike, Honeywell, and Microsoft. The studio earned global acclaim for its commitment to human-centered, technology-driven experience design spanning interactive installations, data visualization, and spatial environments. In 2024, Potion was acquired by Hyperquake, where it merged into a unified Experiences team combining story-led strategy, spatial design, and AI-powered interactive technology.
