Post Translational Medicines (PTM), a San Francisco biotech founded by CEO/CSO/Co-Founder Bryan Ngo and Director of Discovery Chemistry & Co-Founder Kevin Scott, is building the world's first 'Aging Atlas' by systematically mapping and therapeutically targeting the Dark Proteome — the dynamic regulatory layer of biology that exists beyond the genome and reference proteome. Using its Surveyor™ platform, PTM combines in cellulo proteome-wide 'motion tracking,' advanced structural biology, computational modeling, and AI/ML to decode and drug proteoforms at scale, expanding the addressable druggable universe from roughly 20,000 proteins to an estimated 6 million proteoforms. The company is part of SOSV's IndieBio SF 25H2 cohort and describes its mission as providing the 'ground truth' biological data that AI structure-prediction tools like AlphaFold 3 are currently missing, aiming to unlock first-in-class therapies for age-related and chronic disease. PTM raised $200,000 in pre-seed funding from Antler on June 27, 2025.
