Positron is a Reno, Nevada-based AI hardware startup building purpose-built inference accelerators for generative AI workloads. Founded in 2023, the company develops FPGA-based chips and appliances — including the Atlas and Titan product lines — that deliver high performance and low power consumption for Transformer model inference at any scale. Positron's hardware supports all HuggingFace Transformers models out of the box via an OpenAI API-compatible endpoint, enabling enterprises and research teams to escape NVIDIA vendor lock-in. The company raised a $230M Series B in February 2026 at over $1B valuation, co-led by ARENA, Jump Trading, and Unless.
