Show what you sell, online — automatically
Pointy was a Dublin-based retail technology company that helped brick-and-mortar stores get their physical inventory listed online with no manual data entry. Retailers plugged a small Pointy hardware device into their barcode scanner; every product scan automatically uploaded item data to a Pointy-hosted product page visible in local Google search results. The platform integrated with major point-of-sale providers including Square, Lightspeed, Clover, and Vend. Pointy was acquired by Google in January 2020 for approximately $163 million and its technology was integrated into Google's local retail search and Shopping features.
