Point Carbon

Point Carbon A/S was a Norwegian market-intelligence firm founded in May 2000 by a group of Norwegian researchers and headquartered in Oslo. It became a leading independent provider of news, price assessments, analysis, and consulting services for European and global power, gas, and carbon (emissions trading) markets, tracking EU Allowance (EUA) prices and publishing widely cited carbon-market research used by governments, utilities, and financial institutions. On May 27, 2010, Thomson Reuters announced the acquisition of Point Carbon to extend its energy and commodities market coverage; the business was later folded into Thomson Reuters' (now Refinitiv/LSEG) energy and environmental market data offerings.
