Pioneerwork Inc. (Techstars Tokyo 2024) is a Tokyo, Japan-based startup building Zag, an AI-native Product Information Management (PIM) platform for manufacturers and brands entering new markets. Zag uses AI to convert brand catalogs from any format into structured, marketplace-ready product data, then distributes that data at scale across global marketplaces and emerging agentic-commerce channels, removing the manual data-entry burden that typically blocks cross-border expansion. The company also runs a companion service for retailers and wholesalers in Japan, covering e-commerce marketplace construction and supplier sourcing, with the goal of streamlining product information, inventory, orders, returns, and invoicing across major Japanese e-commerce platforms. Pioneerwork is a small, early-stage team headquartered in Tokyo.
