Founded in 1996, PerTrac built one of the earliest analytics platforms for hedge funds, funds of funds, and institutional investors, later adding a Portfolio Manager module (launched January 2008) for asset allocation and risk reporting. Atlanta-based data and analytics provider eVestment acquired PerTrac in November 2012, folding its software into eVestment's institutional investment intelligence suite, while the separate PerTrac CMS client-management product was acquired by Backstop Solutions in 2013.
