People Home Finance Limited (formerly Capital India Home Loans) is a new-age housing finance company based in Mumbai, India, focused on affordable home loans for lower- and middle-income, often self-employed, borrowers. Backed by a $170 million investment led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Premji Invest, and Gaja Capital, the company uses AI-led underwriting and data analytics to assess non-salaried borrowers who typically lack traditional income documentation. It has acquired Capital India Housing Finance and agreed to acquire Centrum Housing Finance, expanding to more than 130 branches across India's underserved Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
