Pegastech

Pegastech, founded in 2009, established itself as a specialty chemistry firm focused on surface treatment processes for industrial clients, with primary clientele in automotive, luxury goods, connectivity, and aerospace. It developed and commercialized a chemical range for the metallization of plastics that operated without hexavalent chromium and palladium, substances common in traditional electroplating, reducing the environmental impact of production. The company also engineered and supplied high-capacity filtration modules for finishing treatments of industrial wastewater. Atotech, a German specialty chemicals company, acquired Pegastech's plastics plating technology in January 2017.
