Over (Under)

Over Protocol (Over) is a Layer 1 blockchain founded in 2021 by the team at Superblock, designed to let individuals run full nodes on ordinary personal computers, using a protocol called Ethanos to discard obsolete state and keep node requirements low. Its goal was a stable, global peer-to-peer financial network accessible to everyday users rather than specialized operators. The project ran a mainnet, wallet, and bridge (bridge.over.network) before announcing on April 28, 2026 that it would shut down due to financial constraints amid the broader crypto winter that also claimed dozens of other Layer 1 and Layer 2 projects that year.
