ORCAS, Inc. is a health innovation and technology company that creates mobile self-management interventions designed to improve physical and emotional well-being. The company develops evidence-based mobile health apps that help individuals adopt healthy behaviors through scientifically validated behavior change techniques. ORCAS products include MindSet (a habit formation app), MoodHacker (a clinically tested app for improving emotional well-being and reducing depression), and Love Every Day (an app for relationship resilience). A peer-reviewed randomized trial of MoodHacker demonstrated effectiveness at improving depression and reducing work absence. ORCAS has partnered with enterprise health and employee assistance program (EAP) providers including CONCERN EAP. In February 2017, ORCAS was acquired by GlobalMed, a telemedicine industry leader, which integrated ORCAS's mobile self-management interventions into its clinical telemedicine offerings.
