Openfolio

Openfolio was a New York-based fintech startup that built a community-powered portfolio-sharing network, letting individual investors share the composition of their investment portfolios (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and other holdings) without disclosing dollar amounts. The platform aggregated user portfolio data to show how everyday investors were performing relative to benchmarks and to each other, bringing the openness and collective intelligence of social networks to personal investing. Openfolio grew to roughly 100,000 users before being acquired by Stone Ridge Asset Management in June 2017.
