OAO RBC Information Systems (MICEX:RBCI)

OAO RBC Information Systems (traded on RTS and MICEX under ticker RBCI) was a leading Russian mass media and information technology group headquartered in Moscow. The company operated a diversified portfolio of businesses including the RBC news agency, RBC TV (Russia's first business television channel), financial data services, and internet portals covering news and finance. Founded in the early 1990s, RBC grew into one of Russia's largest media conglomerates before undergoing significant financial restructuring following the 2008 financial crisis. In June 2010, Mikhail Prokhorov's Onexim Group acquired a 51.1% controlling stake in RBC Information Systems. The group subsequently divested its IT business segment and refocused on its core media properties operating under the RBC brand.
