Nymcard

NymCard is a MENA-based Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) provider and card issuer founded in 2018 by technology entrepreneur Omar Onsi and headquartered in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The company built its technology stack from the ground up and is regulated by the Central Bank of the UAE, offering more than 150 open APIs covering BIN sponsorship, card issuing, program management, compliance, FX, and treasury services. NymCard enables fintechs, banks, and enterprises across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Riyadh, Cairo, and Karachi to embed payment products including gig-economy payouts, multi-currency wallets, money transfers, corporate expense cards, on-demand delivery payments, and Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) offerings. The company has raised more than $68 million to date across Series A ($7.6M, 2021), a $22.5M venture round (2022), and a $33M Series B (2025) led by QED Investors, with participation from DisruptAD, Reciprocal Ventures, and Shorooq Partners.
