Nuage Therapeutics

Nuage Therapeutics is a Barcelona-based biopharmaceutical company founded in 2021 as a spin-off from IRB Barcelona and ICREA, focused on developing transformational precision therapies for aggressive cancers. The company is pioneering a novel approach to drug discovery by targeting intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) — a class of proteins that account for approximately 40% of the human proteome and include many high-value oncogenic transcription factors that are currently undruggable by conventional methods. Nuage leverages the natural ability of disordered proteins to form transient self-assembled higher-order structures, enabling therapeutic targeting of previously inaccessible cancer targets. Nuage was founded by researchers Xavier Salvatella, Mateusz Biesaga, and Denes Hnisz, and is backed by Sofinnova Partners and Asabys.
