Network Equipment Technologies

Network Equipment Technologies, Inc. (NET) was a Fremont, California-based networking and telecommunications equipment company founded in 1983. NET delivered high-performance networking equipment and service creation platforms optimized for real-time communications, providing network and VoIP solutions to enterprises and government agencies seeking to reduce the cost of deploying broadband and IP networks. The company built session mediation and secure real-time communications products for large, mission-critical deployments. In June 2012, Sonus Networks agreed to acquire Network Equipment Technologies for $41.3 million in cash, adding NET's government and enterprise customer base to its portfolio.
