NeoSort

NeoSort is a Toronto- and Gothenburg-based deep-tech recycling company that uses AI-powered nanotechnology to identify and sort waste materials, including plastics, metals, and e-waste, at the particle level. Its inline system conditions mixed feedstock and reads material composition in real time with proprietary nanoscale sensors combined with machine learning, reaching up to 98.5% identification accuracy at a throughput of 25 tons per hour on a 5 m/s conveyor line, exceeding the accuracy of conventional optical sorting. The venture-backed company, co-founded by Harry Jawandha and Dr. Sam Kazemeini, works with partners including Sparta Group's ERS International to deploy its NeoSort AI Nano Sensor Identification technology in commercial recycling facilities.
