NeighborWorks America

NeighborWorks America is a congressionally chartered, nonpartisan nonprofit organization founded in 1978 and headquartered in Washington, DC. It supports nearly 250 network organizations across every US state, DC, and Puerto Rico with grant funding, technical assistance, training, and organizational assessment to help communities access affordable housing, homeownership opportunities, and financial capability programs. In fiscal year 2024, NeighborWorks distributed more than $86.3 million in grants, helped 16,269 individuals become homeowners, and supported over 211,856 rental homes. The organization is the nation's leading trainer of community development and affordable housing professionals.
