NayamWings develops novel wind propulsion systems for commercial maritime vessels using rigid carbon fiber wing sails based on asymmetric and multi-element airfoil technology derived from aerospace engineering. Unlike traditional cloth or nylon sails, NayamWings' rigid wings deliver superior propulsive performance and can save up to 35% in fuel and emissions on average when installed as a hybrid system alongside conventional engines. The company targets shipping operators seeking cost-effective decarbonization solutions, and has received grants from the Israeli Ministry of Energy's chief scientists' office. NayamWings was founded in Haifa, Israel and is a Techstars portfolio company backed by In-VENTech, Israeli Ministry of Energy, 8200 Impact, and HiCenter.
