Nabsys is the pioneer of electronic genome mapping (EGM), using solid-state nanodetectors to survey long DNA molecules and construct high-density genomic maps. Founded in 2005 as a merger of two Brown University startups in Providence, Rhode Island, Nabsys developed proprietary nanodetection technology that eliminates optical components from traditional genome mapping, yielding higher resolution detection of structural variants ranging from 300bp to large chromosomal rearrangements. Its OhmX Platform enables human whole-genome mapping at scale, with strategic support from Hitachi High-Tech.
