Mumm

Mumm is a Cairo-based online platform that connects hungry consumers with home-based cooks — primarily Egyptian women and refugees — who prepare healthy homemade meals and deliver them directly to customers' doors. Founded in 2016, the company created over 110 jobs within its first two years and delivered more than 45,000 meals to 7,000 customers. Mumm was incubated at TIEC in 2016 and received seed investment from A15, followed by a USD $200K seed round from 500 Startups in July 2017. The platform later launched a subscription chef service, Mumm Prime, allowing users to have personalized weekly meal plans cooked by dedicated home chefs. Mumm was recognized by the World Economic Forum as one of the top 100 startups in the MENA region.
