Mth Sense (also styled Mth Sen) was a San Jose, California-based mobile ad-tech startup, backed by Y Combinator's Summer 2012 batch, that built an on-device audience-profiling and ad-serving platform. Rather than targeting ads only by the app in use when an ad is served, its technology inferred a user's demographics and psychographics from the full history of apps installed on their phone, storing all profile data client-side on the device rather than in the cloud. Co-founded by CEO Mandar Agte and president Mohan Balachandra, the company signed up 52 apps to its SDK, including educational app maker TapToLearn, and later repositioned its business around programmatic ad-yield optimization under the name RevSense.
