MoreCom

MoreCom Inc. was a software networking company that provided integrated solutions for delivering digital entertainment video and Internet content to television sets via cable infrastructure. Founded in 1997 by Ami Miron (former VP at General Instrument Corporation) and based in Horsham, Pennsylvania, MoreCom developed middleware and software enabling cable operators to deliver digital TV and interactive Internet services to subscribers. The company secured major contracts with cable operators before being acquired by Liberate Technologies in March 2000 in an all-stock deal valued at approximately $554–561 million. Liberate Technologies was itself later acquired by Comcast.
