Modern brachytherapy to eradicate cervical cancer
Mission-Driven Tech is a New York-based femtech and medical device company focused on improving outcomes for cervical and uterine cancer patients who require brachytherapy — an internal radiation therapy. The company is developing a modern brachytherapy applicator device designed to minimize patient discomfort, improve procedural safety, and expand access to care, particularly for underserved populations facing health equity gaps in gynecologic oncology. Co-founded by entrepreneur Eve McDavid and Dr. Onyinye D. Balogun, an assistant professor of radiation oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine, the company was selected for the 2024 BrightEdge Entrepreneurs program and has been presented at JPMorgan Healthcare Conference. Mission-Driven Tech also sells the Happy Cervix Pin, a retail product that funds engineering development of its main device.
