Mindful Chef is the UK's top-rated healthy recipe box service, founded in 2015 by three Devon school friends: Rob Grieg-Gran, Myles Hopper, and Giles Humphries. The company supplies subscribers with weekly recipe kit boxes containing pre-measured, fresh ingredients and easy-to-follow, nutritionally balanced recipes — all designed around reducing processed foods and refined carbohydrates. Mindful Chef's mission is to make healthy eating easy, accessible, and delicious for everyone. The service delivers across most of mainland Britain and offers a range of options including single-serve boxes, family boxes, and prepared meal ranges. The company is the official nutrition partner of the English Institute of Sport and has partnered with the British Heart Foundation to develop heart-healthy recipes. Mindful Chef became a certified B Corporation in November 2018. In January 2019, private equity fund Piper invested GBP 6 million to support UK expansion. In November 2020, Nestle acquired the company following 5x growth. Headquartered in Battersea, London, Mindful Chef continues to operate as the UK's leading health-focused meal kit brand under Nestle ownership.
