Marinus Pharmaceuticals

Marinus Pharmaceuticals was a commercial-stage pharmaceutical company headquartered in Radnor, Pennsylvania, dedicated to developing innovative therapeutics for seizure disorders and neuropsychiatric conditions. The company's lead asset was ganaxolone, a positive allosteric modulator of GABA-A receptors with a well-characterized mechanism of action in the brain. In 2022, Marinus launched ZTALMY (ganaxolone) oral suspension in the U.S. for seizures associated with CDKL5 Deficiency Disorder (CDD), a rare pediatric epilepsy. Ganaxolone was also approved in Europe for adjunctive treatment of epileptic seizures associated with CDD. Marinus pursued additional indications for ganaxolone across a range of epilepsy and neuropsychiatric disorders. In December 2024, Immedica announced an agreement to acquire Marinus Pharmaceuticals, with the acquisition completed in February 2025. The company was listed on Nasdaq under the ticker MRNS.
