Lumaly is a Berlin-based startup that has built what it describes as the first all-around digital shopping assistant, delivered as a browser extension that supports every step of the online shopping journey. The tool combines smart product discovery with automatic coupon application, searching for available discount codes at checkout and applying the best one automatically so shoppers do not have to hunt for codes themselves. Lumaly also provides a faster checkout flow and offers crypto rewards and crypto payment options to users who complete purchases through the extension. The company frames part of its offering around sustainability, offsetting CO2 for transactions processed through the extension and funding tree planting as part of that program. According to Lumaly's LinkedIn profile, the extension has surpassed 300,000 users across four countries, a figure the company says continues to grow. The extension is distributed through Mozilla's Add-ons store for Firefox, among other channels.
