LUCA Japan is the first alternative investment digital platform in Japan, streamlining access to world-class private equity, venture capital, private debt, real estate, and infrastructure funds for high-net-worth individuals and smaller institutional investors. The platform addresses longstanding barriers in alternative investing — including complex onboarding, large minimum investment sizes, and fragmented fund documents — by digitalizing the end-to-end process from KYC/AML to capital calls and portfolio reporting. Founded in 2021 by Keiko Sydenham (former Blackstone MD and JP Morgan Alternative Investments head) and Akio Tanaka (former Infinity Ventures/Headline Asia partner), LUCA partners with global GPs to bring untapped Japanese HNWI capital into international alternatives funds.
