Light Standard (光本位智能科技（上海）有限公司) is a Shanghai-based photonic AI chip company founded in April 2022, and the first commercial company globally to implement compute-in-memory on photonic chips using heterogeneous silicon-photonics and phase-change material (PCM) integration. Its core product line includes photonic compute-in-memory chips, opto-electronic hybrid compute cards, and full opto-electronic AI computing systems based on a crossbar photonic matrix architecture. The technology offers near-zero static power consumption, high integration density, and fast modulation speeds — targeting large-scale AI inference workloads in cloud data centers and intelligent computing centers.
