Light Research Inc. (LRI) is a Tucson, Arizona-based optical technology company founded in 2021 by Dr. Rongguang Liang, the Thomas R. Brown Endowed Chair in Optical Sciences at the University of Arizona. The company specializes in developing and commercializing innovative optical imaging solutions by combining advances in photonics, computational imaging, and biomedical applications. LRI's product portfolio includes an industrial Dual-Mode Snapshot On-Machine Metrology System for high-precision optical and additive manufacturing, and a Dental Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) system for non-invasive dental diagnostics. The company also develops a Mobile Oral-Cancer Screening and Treatment (MOST) system integrating dual-modal imaging with photodynamic therapy for low-resource clinical settings.
