Knotel was founded in 2016 as a flexible headquarters-as-a-service platform, providing companies with customized, managed office space on flexible terms. After filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in January 2021, its business was acquired by Newmark Group in March 2021 for approximately $70 million. Under Newmark ownership, Knotel has been repositioned as a flexible workspace management platform serving landlords, brokers, and occupiers across the US, UK, Ireland, Europe, and Australia.
