Klout was a San Francisco-based social media analytics platform that assigned users a numerical 'Klout Score' from 1 to 100 based on their online influence across networks including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google+. Founded in 2008 by Joe Fernandez and Binh Tran, Klout was acquired by Lithium Technologies for $200 million in 2014 before being shut down on May 25, 2018. At its peak, Klout had scored over 100 million people and run Perks campaigns with hundreds of brand partners.
