K2 Cyber Security

K2 Cyber Security was a cybersecurity company that developed a Runtime Application Self-Protection (RASP) platform using a deterministic, code-execution validation approach to detect and prevent zero-day and known vulnerabilities in web applications and cloud workloads. Founded in 2017 in San Jose, California by CEO Pravin Madhani and CTO Jayant Shukla, K2's platform worked at runtime to identify actual exploit attempts based on application behavior, providing real-time attack prevention without requiring patches or rule updates. K2 Cyber Security was acquired by New Relic on September 14, 2022 for approximately $14.8 million, after which its technology was integrated into New Relic's security offerings and the standalone company ceased operations.
