Ionetix

IONETIX is a cyclotron and radiopharmaceutical company founded in 2009 from technology born at the MIT Plasma Science and Fusion Center, where it developed the ION-12SC, the world's first commercial compact superconducting cyclotron. The company uses the ION-12SC to produce N-13 Ammonia, one of the most accurate PET imaging agents for the detection of CAD, and is building a network of these cyclotrons on or near PET program campuses nationwide. IONETIX covers installation and operating costs and supplies N-13 Ammonia through a pay-by-the-dose model to make the tracer accessible and affordable to providers.
