Inversion Point

Inversion Point Technologies is a Canadian clean-tech company developing a scalable atmospheric technology to reduce methane emissions and improve air quality. Founded in 2021 by Ryan Galloway (CFA, CPA, CMA) and Scott Bell (P.Eng, M.Eng) in Calgary, Alberta, the company has built a system that supplements natural atmospheric chemistry by generating and dispersing additional hydroxyl radicals to accelerate the breakdown of methane and other pollutants including volatile organic compounds and carbon monoxide. Rather than capturing or combusting methane at the source, Inversion Point's approach enhances the atmosphere's own oxidative chemistry — the same mechanisms that naturally remove methane — to process emissions at a landscape scale. The company cites methane's outsized climate impact (at least 28 times more potent than CO2 over 100 years and responsible for approximately 30% of current global warming) as the core justification for their approach. Their technology is designed to be cost-effective and scalable, targeting geographies with high fugitive methane emissions such as Alberta's oil and gas sector. Inversion Point is a member of Air Miners and Climate Vine, two climate-tech community organizations, and has been accepted into the Plug and Play accelerator program. Co-founder Scott Bell previously helped grow Westgen Technologies from $2M to $20M in annual sales as a founding engineer.
