INERATEC GmbH is a German clean energy company and Power-to-X pioneer founded in 2016 as a spinout from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. The company develops and operates modular Power-to-X plants that convert renewable hydrogen and CO2 into synthetic fuels (e-kerosene, CO2-neutral diesel) and chemicals (synthetic waxes, methanol). INERATEC's patented reactor technology achieves maximum efficiency in defossilization. The company raised a €70 million financing package from the European Investment Bank and Breakthrough Energy Catalyst to build the ERA ONE pioneer plant — the world's largest e-Fuel production facility. INERATEC operates across Europe, North America, and Asia with approximately 106 employees.
