Indus, Inc. is a San Francisco-based medical technology startup developing LumiOS, an AI-powered diagnostic platform built around smart orthopedic implants. The company's technology integrates miniaturized sensors into standard implants (plates, screws, nails, prostheses) to enable continuous post-operative monitoring — detecting implant failures earlier than conventional imaging and personalizing patient recovery protocols based on real-time data. LumiOS functions as a point-of-care diagnostic tool that reduces the need for follow-up X-rays and MRIs, cuts post-operative visits, and lowers overall healthcare costs.
