Imec.xpand is an independently managed, early-stage and growth venture capital fund backed by imec, the world-leading R&D hub for nanoelectronics and digital technology headquartered in Leuven, Belgium. The fund invests in innovative hardware-driven nanotechnology startups — both spun out from imec and developed externally — where imec's unique knowledge, infrastructure, and global network provide a decisive competitive advantage. Imec.xpand gives portfolio companies access to imec's state-of-the-art fabrication infrastructure, extended incubation support, and a broad network of corporate and financial co-investors. In 2024, imec.xpand announced the launch of a new EUR 300 million fund, making it one of the largest deep-tech semiconductor-focused venture funds in the world.
