Homura Heavy Industries Corporation is a Japanese technology company founded on February 25, 2016 by CEO Yosuke Furusawa, and certified as a J-Startup venture by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The company develops remotely operated and autonomous marine drones (Unmanned Surface Vehicles), underwater monitoring cameras, and industrial CPU boards, with a focus on automating primary-industry tasks such as aquaculture feeding, surveying, and monitoring. Its proprietary Bio Group Control® technology enables remote management of live fish movement, supporting automation of food production in response to global population growth and food security challenges. Headquartered in Takizawa City, Iwate Prefecture, Homura Heavy Industries also operates a Tokyo R&D center at the Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology.
