Hanzo

Hanzo is an open-source cloud platform for building, deploying, and governing production AI agents. The platform provides an integrated operating environment for autonomous AI systems, combining model access to 390+ LLMs, 260+ MCP tool integrations, memory management, vector search, sandboxed execution environments, identity and access controls, and comprehensive audit logging. Developers interact with the system via a terminal CLI, IDE extensions, browser plugins, or API, and can direct AI agents through natural language commands to perform multi-step tasks including code analysis, planning, editing, testing, and deployment. Hanzo emphasizes production-grade governance, with configurable autonomy levels, human-in-the-loop approval workflows, and permission enforcement at the platform layer rather than the prompt layer. Founded as Crowdstart/Verus Media in the mid-2010s and formally incorporated as Hanzo AI, Inc. in 2016, the company was selected for the inaugural Techstars Kansas City accelerator cohort in 2017 and has since evolved from a marketing platform into a multi-product applied AI lab. Backers include Mastercard, Techstars, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, DigitalOcean, NVIDIA, Dot Capital, and Right Side Capital Management.
