About
Gulf Data Hub (GDH) is one of the largest independent data center platforms in the Middle East, founded in 2012 by Tarek Al Ashram. Headquartered in Dubai, UAE, GDH provides wholesale colocation services purpose-built to serve hyperscale demand across the region. The company operates facilities across Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the UAE, as well as Jeddah and Dammam in Saudi Arabia, with a pipeline spanning Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Morocco, Jordan, and Egypt. GDH currently has over 70 MW of contracted IT capacity operational or under reservation by US hyperscalers, with a secured powered land bank encompassing a further ~550 MW across the UAE and KSA. The company secured AED 530 million ($144.3 million) in syndicated financing from the Commercial Bank of Dubai in 2022 and attracted a strategic investment from KKR in January 2025, valuing a minority stake at approximately $1 billion.
