Goldcorp

Goldcorp Inc. was a Canadian gold production company headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, founded in 1994 by Rob McEwen. The company grew into one of the world's largest gold producers, operating eleven mines across North and South America and employing roughly 15,800 people worldwide across exploration, extraction, processing, and reclamation activities. On 14 January 2019, Goldcorp agreed to an all-stock merger with Newmont Mining Corporation, forming Newmont Goldcorp, the world's largest gold producer; the combined company was renamed Newmont in 2020.
